Sheet music for Kingston's Official Tercentenary Song "The Future and The Past" composed by Tim Hallman in 1973. The front cover is printed with the logo for the Tercentenary Celebration as well as a Robert Blenderman print of Murney Tower in Spring. The sheet opens to display two pages of the musical score with the third sheet of music printed on the reverse. The sheet music has been copied with both the printed score as well handwritten musical notation. The price of the commemorative sheet music is printed on the front as $1.
The Kingston Tercentennial was a commemoration of the 300th anniversary of Count Frontenac’s landing in Canada around the Kingston area. Tim Hallman won the Kingston Tercentenary song contest in 1973 while studying music at Queen's University. Hallman has since been involved in the music industry for decades and continues to perform local shows today.
