Description

A metal centennial logo plaque. The plaque is a stylized maple lead that is comprised of 11 equilateral triangles which have raised silver outlines. The interior of the triangles are brown.

History

The centennial logo is the logo of the centennial of Canadian Confederation in 1967. It is comprised of 11 equilateral triangles that represent Canada's 10 provinces and the Northwest Territories (Canada's accepted geography at the time).

The City of Kingston acknowledges that we are on the traditional homeland of the Anishinaabe, Haudenosaunee and the Huron-Wendat, and thanks these nations for their care and stewardship over this shared land.

Today, the City is committed to working with Indigenous peoples and all residents to pursue a united path of reconciliation.
