Newspaper

A 28-page special newspaper edition of The Times, celebrating the 100th birthday of the Queen Mother, Elizabeth Bowes-Lyon. The newspaper is titled "The Queen Mother's Century" and dated to August 4, 2000. There is a coloured photograph of the young Queen Mother on the cover page. On the bottom of the page, the words read "One Hundred Turbulent Years in the Life of Elizabeth Bowes-Lyon." The inside pages of the newspaper divides the Queen Mother's life into different decades from 1900 to 2000, looking at how her century changed the world out of all recognition. This newspaper includes numerous photographs of the Queen Mother, framing her personal life within the revolutionary world history of the twentieth century. On page 14-15, there are various portraits representing the Queen Mother in her different stages of life.
