History

This ticket is for a 1993 concert featuring blues harp classicist Charles Musselwhite and his band which was hosted at Dollar Bill's in the Prince George Hotel in Kingston. The concert was organized by Dan Aykroyd and Michael 'X-Ray' McRae.

Dollar Bill's was a live music venue located in the Prince George Hotel. It was named after William Allen (1882 - 1945) a local Kingston celebrity who is believed to have been in prison for highway robbery. Allen turned to bootlegging in the 1930s and became famous for running a bootleg bar out of an old seaplane hanger in Barriefield.

In late 1978 the Prince George Hotel underwent renovations and transformed a part of the hotel into a live music venue known for its eclectic mix of musical genres, including blues, rock, reggae, country and punk. The venue eventually shifted its focus to becoming a dance club.
